Introduction(about Lab.)

Laser Processing and Microscale Heat Transfer Laboratory conducts research on microscale heat transfer and laser-materials interaction, with applications in micro/nanoscale thermal systems and materials processing.

The current research topics include;

  • (1) Laser-materials processing (micromachining, surface cleaning, nanoparticle synthesis, etc.)
  • (2) Thermophysical properties (liquid, thin films, micro/nanostructures)
  • (3) Microscale heat and mass transfer
  • (4) Micro thermal sensors
  • (5) Biophotonics
